
All the above services are available for on-line remote coaching. Although Max Fitness feels it is important to have a personal one on one relationship with our clients; we understand that it is not always possible to find a qualified cycling coach in your area. We will work with you on bike fit through pictures and fit guidlines, as well as working with your local bike shop if possible. The initial meeting will be done by phone instead of in person. The e-mail and phone contact after you have received your training schedule will be the same as if you lived down the street from the coach. If you are a racer, it is possible your coach will cross paths with you at the races and be able to interact with you there.
The coaching process starts with a face-to-face meeting that covers many areas including history, goals, strengths, weaknesses, time, stresses, family and anything else that might help or hinder you from reaching your cycling goals. Next, Max, or the coach you are working with will ride with you to get a better feel for your cycling abilities, bike fit and riding style. Your coach will follow this ride with a comprehensive bike fit to make sure you are in the most efficient position on the bike for you.
Once the coach is convinced he or she knows you, they will write a personal training schedule aimed at peaking you for your goals. From this point the coach and rider will stay in contact by phone or e-mail to make adjustments as needed. If you are a racer, the coach will follow your racing and give you input pre race for strategies and tactics, followed by post race assessment. Along the way your coach will be your motivator, confidant, sounding board and an outside objective view to keep you on the right track.
